Delete your account

CJIS Policy Companion, published by CJIS360 LLC.

You can delete your CJIS Policy Companion account and the data stored for it at any time, in the app or by email. Deleting cannot be undone.

In the app (fastest)

1. Sign in to CJIS Policy Companion on iPhone, Android, or the web at cjis360.app/app.
2. Open the menu (three bars, top right) and choose Account.
3. At the bottom, under Delete your account, choose Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away, and you are signed out.

By email

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@cjis360.app from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We reply within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We act only on a request that comes from the account's own email address, and we ask for nothing more than we need to confirm it is yours. Do not include Criminal Justice Information or case details in your email.

What is deleted

• Your account: email address, display name, account identifier, agency, role, CJIS roles, and the date you confirmed you are 18 or older.
• Your Microsoft Entra sign-in for CJIS Policy Companion.
• The questions and answers stored for your account, and any feedback you gave on them.
• Problem reports you sent (for example CJISCP_IC_0001), with their messages.

What is kept, and for how long

• Administrator activity record. Entries about actions on your account (for example, an administrator disabling it) refer to the account by identifier only, with no email address. They show as "a deleted account" and are deleted after one year.
• Service providers. Anthropic, which writes answers, generally deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days under its published terms. Questions and answers on our server are deleted after 30 days in any case.
• On your device. Your last 25 questions and answers stay on the phone or in the browser until you choose Clear history in Question history, or remove the app.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

Clear your on-device history at any time from Question history. Questions and answers on our server are deleted automatically after 30 days. To ask for earlier deletion of specific answers, email privacy@cjis360.app from your account's email address.

The privacy policy describes all data the app collects and how long it is kept.
